Drone photo illustrating: MLS and Portal Rules for Drone Photography

MLS and Portal Rules for Drone Photography

Why media rules vary by MLS board and portal, and how to keep aerial listing images compliant.

Rules vary by board

Each MLS sets its own media rules. Many restrict logos, watermarks, contact details, people and misleading edits in listing photos. Always check your local MLS rules and NAR resources rather than relying on general advice.

Accurate representation

Aerial edits should not misrepresent the property — for example, adding features that do not exist or hiding nearby structures. Disclose virtual staging or sky replacement where your board or portal requires it.

Ask for MLS-ready files

Many providers deliver MLS-ready crops and sizes alongside high-resolution files for print and marketing. Ask which sizes and formats you will receive.

This directory is not an MLS

DronePropertyHub.com does not submit listings to any MLS or portal and is not affiliated with any MLS or NAR. We cannot guarantee portal compatibility for any provider’s files.
